For many decades Southern Philippines or particularly known as Mindanao Island has been called the "Promise Land."

Many elections have passed yet Mindanao-nons continue to suffer from poverty, hunger, war and of the continued promises of politicians to make this place food basket in the country. Yet, there is still lack of total support from the government.

Corruption continue to dominate Philippine politics and people also continue to suffer, malnutrition and hunger. What a sad state to Mindanao.
